for another security related theme, this time web application security
and OWASP. Details follow.

Location: MadLab[1] (Manchester Digital Laboratory)
Address: 36-40 Edge Street, Manchester M4 1HN (map[2])
Date: Saturday, 26th February 2011
Time: 14:00–17:00 (approximate)

Simon Bennetts will be introducing OWASP[3], the Open Web Application
Security Project, and the OWASP Top 10[4]. Whether you are using web
applications, or developing them, you will want to know the kind of
security problems that you will encounter, and how to protect against
them. OWASP provides one of the most comprehensive web application
security resources.

Simon is an OWASP volunteer, one of the OWASP Leeds Chapter[5] leaders,
and project leader for the Zed Attack Proxy[6]. At Sage, he is a
technical team lead, designs and builds web applications, and
specialises in web application security.
