[SLUG] Sound, a bit of progress

Hi ppl

Steve suggested I install Windows on this errant machine to see if
that recognised the on-board sound. If not, the board's KO'd. If so,
it's Linuxes fault.

I just installed Windows and guess what I discovered ...
