Apologies,
I may be getting out of my depth!
I am using grub, yes, now I know that!
I had a look at file:/boot/grub/menu.lst
and it reads so:
# Modified by YaST2. Last modification on Tue May 18
14:15:53 2004
color white/blue black/light-gray
default 0
timeout 8
gfxmenu (hd0,5)/boot/message

Is it the last section that needs modifying and do I
literally just add 'pci=noapci' after 'maxcpus=0 3'?
Thanks again for all the help, Stuart.
