[sclug] Any thoughts on how to block these? (long-ish)

What format are your mail files in? Check the documentation, but I
think that Spamassassin assumes that folders are in maildir format by
default (i.e. folders map onto directories, messages map onto files)
but your mail files could well be in mbox format (one file per mail
folder) - so spamassassin is treating each of your mail folders as one
gigantic message.

To fix this you need to add the "--mbox" option e.g.

sa-learn --ham --mbox /var/mail/patrick

but before you do that you should run sa-learn again to "unlearn" what
it's already learned from your folders - or clear out the bayesian
database and start afresh. The man page for sa-learn has details on
how to "unlearn" from mail.

if your messages are in some more obscure format (e.g. c-client.mbx or
cyrus) you will need to convert them to mbox or maildir format using
some utility (mailutil works for c-client; don't know about cyrus).
