That would be great. If it comes to it we could just use address stickers and
scribble names & distros onto them.
> A time table even if it's only Start and Finish times.
We can start any time and we have to finish by about 5pm.
> A list of what we need.
> A list of who is providing what.
I am providing:
- 1 wireless hub with internet
- 1 wired hub with eight ports routed through to wireless hub by my laptop
- four PCs with Kubuntu & lots of arty software installed if people want me to
bring them out
- lots of random cables, inc. ethernet, power, USB
- spare mice (5), keyboards (6), monitors (6)
- a box full of Kubuntu install CDs and loads of OpenCDs with Ubuntu live on
them
- a few four-plug strips
- tables, chairs
> A list of who will do what.
I'd like help early in the morning setting things up. Can one or two people
volunteer to be there shortly before the start time, e.g. 10.30am if we start
at 11am? The same would go for packing up at 5pm, though maybe I can collar
some people who are lingering at the end of the day... just to make sure we
leave the place in a reasonable state for the music gig that evening.
> May be an announcement on Radio Berks.
Not a bad idea. I'll send it to people I know in local papers and on
Reading107
too. Anyone have any good contacts?
> I sure there is much more.
Not having organised an install day before I'm open to suggestions!
Regards,
Tom
