It seems that if I had bought a Linksys WRT54G rather
than the 'equivalent' Netgear I could have downloaded the
Sveasoft http://www.sveasoft.com/ upgrades to get something
along the lines I wanted.

I am looking at getting a 8-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Switch.
Unfortunately the Sveasoft software does not support the Linsys,
or any other, product.
