[sclug] BCS AGM meeting

The branch AGM will be held at 7pm on the 19th of June in the Waterhouse
Chamber of Reading Town Hall. The AGM is expected to last for about an
hour, and will be followed by an opportunity to discuss any questions
you may have about BCS membership and benefits. The bar will be open
from 8pm, and food will be available, so please take the opportunity to
come along and influence the way your branch is run.
 
As required by the branch rules, the existing committee will retire at
the AGM and a new committee will be elected; nominations for the
committee must be received by the branch secretary at least two weeks
before the AGM, and should be supported by two members entitled to vote
at the AGM.

Has anyone been to a BCS AGM before? What's it all about, is it
something worth attending, is there much to be gained?
