Is this SuSE? If so.....

Boot from your SuSE install CDs or floppy and choose "boot installed syst=
em",=20
point it at yourr boot partition and then do a "add/remove software packa=
ges"=20
and choose grub.

RedHat is broadly similar and I expect most distros will be also.
