I think I'd suggested making something like a shortlist each month, and then taking a final vote on 'the one' at every meeting. Obviously this entails finding out who has voted etc. Maybe it could be done in such a way that a shortlist of 5 (for example) is made up, and as people donate, they vote.  This gives those who donate the right to vote, and avoids any nasty situations.
