Great idea, good luck with it!

You _might_ find some of this EdLug Install Day info useful, especially
the public release forms etc.
http://arkaig.netresources.co.uk/~edlug/install/

I guess the only other thing to say is, remember your audience. Is it
the general Linux-curious public who want to find out more and get a
hand installing? Or is it an inward looking hack-fest? Or both? :-) Just
handy to be clear!

Subject: Re: [Scottish] Linux Install Day

Hi all,

Would this include installing linux in platforms other than x86? (e.g.
Sparc...). I am running SuSE 7.3 on an Ultra10 machine. It is very
stable, but would like to try some more up to date software on it.

Have tried installing Debian a few times, but couldn't make the X work.
This might be an option to give it another try and get some help from
experienced users.

Many thanks.
