Description:

Experienced Software Engineer required to work on the development of our
flagship mission-planning, monitoring, sensor fusion and visualisation
platform for Unmanned Underwater Vehicles.

To succeed in this job, you MUST be eligible to work in the UK and fulfil
the following essential basic requirements:

Current expertise in C/C++, Visual Basic, Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0, .NET,
SQL and COM components.
At least 1 year’s experience in a similar role.
A Bachelor's Degree (1ST/2.1 Hons) in Software Engineering or Computer
Science.
Good written and spoken English.

Where possible the following qualifications would be beneficial:

Experience with OpenGIS standards and ESRI Software.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Matlab, UNIX and Linux.
Experience using Source Safe and CVS.

A Masters Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
The candidate should have the ability to produce quality, well-commented
source code to meet specifications and requirements as set out by the
Software Development Manager. Good organisational and time-keeping skills
and the ability to work with colleagues and other staff are also essential.
The candidate must be able to adapt and be self-motivated.

Starting salary will depend on experience.

The role is with a market leader in the field of intelligent systems for
autonomous or remote platforms and processes.
