Perhaps the simplest way would be to get the 2 computers networked 
together then share the bb connection from the windows machine.

NIC in each machine
crossover cable

Run the networking wizard on your windows machine and set up your linux 
box to use dhcp. It's a dawdle to setup.

On the other hand, picking up a cheap adsl router would be a much more 
secure option - I really don't think that having windows attached to 
outside directly is a good thing to do ;)

NIC in each machine
2 straight wired cables

Plug the modem into your phone line and plug your network cables in, 
RTFM for details, but you'll usually setup the modem in a browser window 
- so need for usb drivers!
