[Scottish] X mouse cursor disappears - fixed

Thanks Kyle and Glenn;

Whilst trying to find out about changing to the NVidia driver I found a kernel  
module (video/nvidia) that wasn't loaded.  Loaded it and everything works fine  
now.  Thanks once more for your help.
