The UAD Linux Society – Guest Speaker Talk
The University of Abertay Dundee Linux Users Society are proud to
announce that Tim Simpson (IT Support Manager) of Dundee City Council
will be the guest speaker at the Linux Society. Dundee City Council have
been implementing open source and free software since 1995. His talk
will feature the benefits that the City of Discovery council achieves
from using open source and free software, this will also including the
economical and finical impact that their adoption of open source has
achieved.
The Linux Society meetings and talks are as usual open to everyone, and
non-students are more than welcome too. If you want to attend the talk
and your not a society member then that is not a problem, and you
contact events at thelinuxsociety.org.uk for tickets and more information.
So if your interested on open source software or interested in it's
massive benefits in a commercial setting, then this one talk not to
miss.
