SEPA / smart monitoring project

Hi folks
another club I'm a member of hosted a talk this evening from some SEPA
staff, to do with some work they hope to do in the coming months. They want
to get in touch with various tech interest groups, to see if they can get
some community buy-in, and input from people with the tech knowledge on the
computer side.
The project involves various opensource hardware projects, as well as
raspberry pi hardware possibly, and Linux.  Is this something that the
group would like more info on, and possibly a talk from the guys at SEPA? I
am happy to approach them and arrange a visit if there's interest.
