Hi Mike
I have not done anything so formal as to prescribe compilers etc, having
only recently come to Linux myself. However gcc and if you want a nice
pretty interface then KDesigner looks OK.
I am finishing off C in October, as far as I know, so you would be welcome
to come along. C++ is next on the list.
