Ron,
Try booting and with the additional kernel parameter root=/dev/sda3 on
the Grub command line, this command may be there, if so if it is
pointing to the wrong partition then change it to sda3. Can you remember
how YAST decided to partition the disk? usually it will format sda1(or
hda1)as swap and make sda2 (hda2) as / (root) if the above fails and the
boot command says sda3, try changing it to sda2.
