Hi Members ,=0D
=0D
I was expecting to do a C course and then follow on with the C++ one,=0D
I would like to use one of the C/C++ programs with Linux SuSE 8.2 ,=0D
and there seems to be a lot of docs on the SuSE disc ,and the C/C++ =0D
program ,But I am not sure which is the best one to go for maybe we =0D
could all use the same version and do some of the lessons at home =0D
and use a website as a base, like Andre suggests .=0D
Would there be a copyright problem using the linux C/C++ program =0D
and the documentation ??.=0D
Regards Mike =0D

If I'm understanding Dave C's copyright problem with the lectures,=0D
then probably no - this is just as bad as putting them on the=0D
website. Dave C will have to answer this though - afterall they would=0D
be there in their original form for a very short space of time...=0D
=0D
Dave C may also want to look at the modified documents before release,=0D
just to ok them (i.e. that enough has been changed).=0D
=0D
I'd actually like for the lectures to be put on the website proper,=0D
where HTML documents can be properly cross-linked. This would allow=0D
for the lectures to be written in something like DocBook format, where=0D
different formats are output from the same source, allowing HTML, PDF,=0D
PS etc, without having to edit multiple files.=0D
Of course, it may be possible to write a Wiki backend for DocBook, but=0D
I don't fancy trying it unless I absolutely *have* to :)=0D

Yes, this is perfectly possible. However, I don't have a laptop, and=0D
can't bring a Linux machine to the meetings (it runs my web and email,=0D
plus is the primary DNS for my domain, so I can't unplug it).=0D
I'm more than happy to hover behind people when they want help with=0D
it, though.=0D
=0D
Just out of interest, what are people expecting to get out of a C=0D
course? It'd help if I knew where we were going with this, before=0D
starting out, then we don't end up with a series of C lectures which=0D
are essentially not what people want.=0D
=0D
Cheers,=0D
