The proxy seems to send a http request for a page, and seems to get all of =
the=20
information to be able to satisfy further http requests without going over=
=20
the sat link. For that reason routing some packets over ISDN will not have=
=20
much benefit.

You need squid, and a dns cache. The easiest way to acheive this is to=20
install ipcop on a spare machine, which is quick and easy once you have rea=
d=20
the docs. The latency will still be noticable, but the overall performance=
=20
feels very similar to ADSL.
