Guys and Gals.
I have 6 mini computers for sale. I mentioned these at the LUG meet last
Sunday, I now have then in my sticky mitts.
These are second hand and have been used as thin client terminals originally
with window$ XP embedded, however this has been replaced with Damn Small
Linux. The flash disks had been erased before I got them, however the
original XP embedded license key stickers are still in place should you want
to have a go at installing software from the evil empire. Alternatively they
will PXE boot and I have them working as LTSP clients: www.ltsp.org
The boxes have a 256MB IDE flash disk and 256MB of PC133 RAM.
The processor is a VIA C3 533Mhz jobbie.
The computers are made by Lex, more details can be found at www.lex.com.tw the
computers are CV860A installed in the "Light" case.
A picture of the board can be found here:

and the case here:

The salient details are as follows:
Size W 235mm, D180mm, H 49mm
* CPU Via C3 533Mhz (passively cooled so no noise)
* 256MB PC133 RAM (Single DIMM Slot, 512MB Max)
* 256MB Flash Hard drive plugged into a 40pin Laptop drive IDE connector
Secondary IDE port
* Standard size primary IDE port
* Compact Flash slot, maps to Secondary IDE port.
* 10/100 Realtek Ethernet adapter (works fine with Linux) PXE Boot
* AC 97 sound on board
* Inbuilt graphics card (uses up to 8MB of system RAM, works fine at
1280x1024 16 bit colour
Rear connectors:
* PS2 Keyboard and mouse ports
* 2 x USB1.1
* Parallel printer port
* 2 x serial ports
* VGA port
* Ethernet port
* Power socket (12V DC) I have Power supply bricks for two of the units,
suitable power bricks can be obtained from Maplins. 12V 3A
Front connectors etc:
* 1 x USB 1.1
* Microphone and speaker jacks
* Power button
* Power, network and disk activity LEDs
I have tested all the units for PXE boot and have installed Damn Small Linux
on the flash disks, this occupies about half of the flash disk space.
These units can be bought new from www.linitx.com and new cost £180 +VAT
although I think the latest models have 800Mhz CPUs but don't come with RAM
or Flash disks.
I'm offering these for £40 ono +£5 if you want a power brick.
Mike and Kitty have already expressed an interrest so two may already be
spoken for, so hurry up before they go.
I will probably be at the Babington Arms next Friday evening if anyone wants
me to bring one along. Or contact me off-list if you want to pop round for a
demo.
