Well, I hope they weren't too hostile about it - it doesn't sound like
that would fit with the Code of Conduct.
But, mailing lists tend to be easier for many people, including me. I
won't visit a forum, but I can lurk on this mailing list, and post
occasionally, when I see something interesting.
Have you got a mail client that threads conversations properly? Most
forums don't even handle threading.
As a compromise, would something like GMane be useful, for providing a
web interface to the mailing list? I'm unsure if lug.org.uk already
provide something similar. Perhaps they should.
