Not encountered that one myself - but then I cheated and did a net
install last of MDK9.1 (heartily recommended if you have the bandwidth!)
Looks like something is refusing to allow the disc to be umounted. I'd
suggest switching to the root mini console (Ctrl-Alt-F3 IIRC), and
trying to manually umount it. IF the device is reported as busy, see if
lsof is available, and if not, checking the process tree for anything
that's obvious running from the CD.
For a Q'n'D fix, temporarily adding a second CD drive to the system
should work fine. Just remove it once you have the system successfully
installed (kudzu /should/ clean up the remnants.)

Quite a good move IMHO - The only reason I have Windows on this box is
convenience for the rest of the family (at least until Wine can handle
all the littlun's games and the OU software!)
