   ((char *) 0x12345678) = 0xAB;
Or words to that effect.

It that isn't a random POKEB into memory I don't know what is!

The fact the a machine with a correctly configured MMU doesn't
allow you destroy other processes memory is a sign of the
lack of power in Unix just shows how brain dead some programmers
can be.
