[Sussex] Usbvnetr module

Hi,

I have been trying to compile and install a usb wireless NIC driver fro
a while.
It went in straight away on my laptop, but now I want it to work on
another box (gentoo 1.4 rc4) I am having problems.

When compiled and installed. The machine will load the module, but It
always says it is unused.

Module Size Used by Not tainted
usbvnetr 81208 0 (unused)

I have set up the modules.conf file (via /etc/modules.d/aliases) by
adding..

alias eth1 usbvnetr

When I run an ifconfig -a, eth1 is not there. (grr)

If I run ifconfig eth1 I am told ..

eth1: error fetching interface information: Device not found

I ran a dmesg command to see what was happening, but didn't understand
what has come back (although it does mention the usbvnetr module once)
(dmesg results included at the bottom of this meassage)

Does anyone have any idea of what I can look at next?

Cheers,

Dominic
