[Sussex] CD Cooking - hot subject

Hi all,
Quite topical for me as well.

I'm trying to get my CD-R working in Debian 2.2r4.

I've appended hdc=ide-scsi in lilo.conf, pointed things to scd0 & so on.

Xcdroast still doesn't see the CD-R, moaning about the lack of module sg.

Running as root, lsmod shows that ide-scsi & sg are present, although sg is 
shown as "unused".

I've looked at the CD writing HOWTO & other web documents, all of which 
fail to mention module sg. Leaving me baffled.

Any help appreciated.

(BTW: the CD-R is still working happily as a player only).
