New challenge:
Installe Wbcdcreator and cdrecord under 2.4.20 and see if you can get
past the problem with needing to specify 

cdrecord -scanbus -dev=ATAPI:0,0,0

I can see in the c code that Config.cpp is looking for wrong strings...
sigh... 

i will dig out more data after I install it myself!
