Telstra (the Australian equivalent of BT), is busy piloting a move to
thin client desktops using a combination of Linux and Citrix. Right now
they seem to have stuff from almost every vendor in the market, but
they're trying to reduce complexity (this means just Solaris, Windows XP
(over Citrix) and Linux instead of that plus a whole bunch of other
stuff like HPUX and NT file servers and the like). All in all it sounds
like a nightmare, but the press are playing it as a "good news story"
for Open Source, as the target is to have 85% of desktop users using
Linux.
