No country can claim to do most of the F/OSS work.  The US can claim to 
have the large number, but they don't (last time I looked) produce half
of the stuff available.

The last time I checked it was about:

   1/3 - North America.
   1/3 - Europe.
   1/3 - Rest of the World.
