Well, after Steves message to the Brighton LUG list before the weekend and 
given that I only live 500 yds from the venue I could hardly miss meeting 
some other Linux geeks.

I've been a Linux user for several years and have even been to some LUG 
meetings (in Peterborough and Brighton). I've considered the Horsham moots 
several times, but the combination of wanting to drink and having to drive...

I'd been reading this list via the web interface on and off for several 
months and after the fair actually subscribed.

Oh, computer Fairs are dangerous to your wallet! I went along needing a USB 
cable and came away with one...

  ...  and a USB2 solid state disk! I suppose it could have been worse.
