Running framebuffers with an i810 chip *helps* with the speed of
graphics, since it is already in a graphics mode when going from console
<-> X11. Of course, what you should ensure is that you have turned OFF
any support in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 for framebuffers, namely a line
which looks like:

Option     "UseFBDev"
