Sorry to butt in with this possibly related issue ... On my Dell Latitude C610, using live Knoppix 3.8, I clicked to maximise a window (forget which program), and instead of the window filling the screen, the entire screen full of programs shrank to leave a two inch border around the edge. Could any of the solutions proposed so far help me in this situation?
