[Sussex] New distro install (Mandriva 2006) problems - where too start?

Having looked thought your logs you sent me off list I can't see
anything there.  But as I haven't got a nVidia card I'm no expert.
I did notices that the fb submodules was installed.  If there
is an nVidia expert around maybe he will know if this is normal.
