[Sussex] Gentoo headaches!!!

Dominic,

Now that the Gentoo advocate label has been firmly pinned to my chest, I
guess I should comment. I've no experience with VMWare, so I can't help
you much.  Have you tried other distros?

Might it be a VMWare problem rather than a Gentoo problem?
