Hello,

19 months after my professional flying career terminally crashed, I am
now finally heading back into full time employment.

On Tuesday the Civil Aviation Authority offered me a position as a
policy specialist in the personnel licensing department at SRG at
Gatwick.

After the horrors of the last 19 months it's a great relief to be useful
again - apart from being the Gentoo advocate - which nobody seems to
want anyway.

As some of you may be aware I had been quietly building up a small IT
Support business as an alternative should gainful employment not have
come my way. During the 6-8 weeks for the CAA to process my security
application, I will be signing off the remaining work with my clients,
and will wind up the business in the fullness of time.

However, having put some effort into the business I would love to see
someone develop it further. The business has:

1. Web Site
2. Corporate design/look and feel.
3. 4 Small business customers
4. 15 Professional/Home Office customers.
5. 3rd. Party work from Office Equipment Supplier.
6. Sage Line 50 Financial Controller.
7. Accounts for 3 years trading to end of June 2005.
8. Limited Company.
9. VAT Registration.

Not a lot, but the basics for a small business.

Most of the customers require Windows desktop and server support,
wireless and wired TCPI/IP network support and the support one might
expect a small business to need.

Most of this is probably beneath the rocket scientists of the SLUG, but
someone might be interested. If so, please contact me off-list.

On a slightly different tack, I have amassed a large amount of hardware
bits and pieces such as motherboards, cables, etc. I will at some stage
be having a bit of a car boot sale of all this, but if anyone wants some
cheap bits and pieces please enquire.

See you next Thursday.

Steve Williams.
