Hi All,

I'm a newcomer to the group. So it's good to be here!

I have just installed Suse Linux 9.3 Pro on an IBM ThinkPad T40p.
I went for a dual boot with WinXP Pro, and all went well until......
Linux finally got online and did the auto updates. When finished it
re-booted and wont get to the Linux desktop. Any ideas ??

Also can I create different profiles for the wireless and wired NIC's as I
move the laptop regulary into 4 network locations.

Finally I'm lost when it comes to joining a windows XP network, or
installing a printer.

I have to say that I am finding the OS very confusing as a novice.

Anyway, I hope to meet some of you sometime.
I am near Chichester Harbour and I hear there is a LUG starting here soon?

Thanks for any help offered.

Martin

Boy that takes me back to when I could actually justify using a nice set
of SCSI drives for my own machines (and used them at work) - setting the
SCSI BOIS for which ones spun up on power on, and then waiting and
listening to them being spun up in turn. Sounded like you were getting
ready for take of :) I really wish SCSI drives weren't so expensive,
they really are much nicer than IDE :(
