I don't know about Ubuntu (I've only installed it once, on an especially
dodgy old laptop), but most of the Linux installations I do are WBEL on
~1.5GHz machines. They typically take about 20-25 mins to get an
installation to the revision of the CD.

Updates typically take a lot longer, but that's no longer comparing apples
with apples, is it?
