[Sussex] CUPS printer stops on Fedora Core 5

Hello,

I have a server that prints to an HP printer. About once a week the printer queue stops and someone has to got to page 631 to restart it.
The customer is non-technical so I need to find a way to prevent the problem.

Where can I check that the cups daemon triggers a restart should the queue stop?

Any suggestions as to how I can find the cause of the problem?
