Similarly, flying an expensive, noisy high performance aircraft, on your
own, almost all at low level (250 ft radio altitude), with some
pyrotechnics (1,000lb HE retard bombs, 30mm HE Cannon, various less
exciting practice munitions etc.), completely legally and all at the
taxpayer's expense was a huge grin inducer for a hot-headed 23 year old.
