I have a PII 700Mhz with 512 ram laptop and it runs Ubuntu edgy no
problems,  I also have have a PII  400Mhz laptop (not sure of the ram)
which runs Kubuntu edgy no problems, a bit slow when opening large
applications such as OpenOffice but it can do it and I can produce text
documents in it (not tried with pictures).
