I am pondering this one.
Is this a result of the MS - Novell agreement?

Our purpose in the LUGs is open source and freedoms we cannot possibly 
entertain any lockdowns into MS or their partners.
If the intention is to set up a Suse group then that should be reflected 
in the name.
