[Sussex] wireless adaptor config for debian

Dear Steve,

the device is just listed on the bus, so have to find drivers and then configure .

Pclinux and mandriver spoil us I suppose, there wireless is all laid on.

Anyway, not at all urgent. Thanks for replying so speedily!

Wireless is a bit of a bitch on Linux.  This is not the Linux
developers' fault, the hardware manufactures are less than forthcoming
with details about their hardware.

I gave up WiFi years ago - wired is faster and less hassle.

Do you mean that it was listed as being on the USB bus or that it
recognised and an appropriate driver loaded?

I'm not the one to help.  I've never used a USB network device so I
don't know all the angles.  But it would help if to give the device's
identity - lsusb is the command to use.

Glad you like the talk, and yes plasma screens are not cheap - but the
prices are coming down.
