I have read a lot lately about Mobile Broadband and the advantages of
it's use.
Unfortunately all seem to require the dreaded MS or Apple.

Has anyone looked into or even tried connecting to the internet using
one of the USB Modems?

I am waiting for the arrival of a Elonex one and thought it would be
nice if I could link to the internet whilst travelling
I am not, even remotely, an expert in these things. I can usually get
Linux to do what I want by trial error and a great deal of swearing but
didn't want to embark on buying such a modem if it was a no hoper.

As I understand it the Elonex will have a flavour of Debian running on
it.
