So Samsung gave the name "Galaxy" to a phone as well as a tablet.
I notice neither the tablet nor the smartphone illustrations on their
website show a physical keyboard. They look quite similar except for
size.

In outward appearance, it now seems to me as if physical size is the
only difference between a tablet and a smartphone? The internals of
course would be quite different.
From Wikipedia: A tablet computer, or simply tablet, is a complete
mobile computer, larger than a mobile phone or personal digital
assistant, integrated into a flat touch screen and primarily operated
by touching the screen.
And: A smartphone is a high-end mobile phone that combines the
functions of a personal digital assistant (PDA) and a mobile phone.
It also points out that differentiations between types of devices is a
little grey.
I haven't taken much notice of the field at all, probably since it is
so confusing if you've not actually seen a range of devices in action.
Best Regards,
Fay
