[SWLUG] Cable providers not wanting networks?

I've been trying to get Demon's ADSL, but between Demon getting my 
account details wrong (and saying repeated times they have fixed them), 
and BT installing their own ADSL service on my line when I didn't ask 
them for it, it will have taken 2+ months :-(

Am I alone having problems?
