[SWLUG] L 99 after install on 160GB HD

My 9.2 installation was working fine on my 30GB dual-boot HD. I bought a
160GB, put my W98/W2K on, installed Mandrake Linux 9.2 again from CD so the
partitions look like this:
Win98 (5GB), W2K (140GB), Linux / (7.5GB), Linux /home (7.4GB), Linux swap
(258MB).
When I rebooted, lilo failed with L 99 99 99... I couldn't get into Linux.
Rebooted with a floppy into DOS - fdisk /mbr.
Reinstalled Linux, only this time with the mkbootdisk option, but the
mkbootdisk failed for no specific reason, even though the rest of the
installation worked. Rebooted. L 99 99 99...
Reinstalled Linux only THIS time specifying /boot as /dev/hda6 (Linux /) not
/dev/hda (HD primary partition). Rebooted. Still L 99 99 99...
I am completely baffled.

Any clues? Does Linux not read past the BIOS's 135GB limitation, even though
Windows 200 does?

Marcus
