ps - forgot to mention so far my favourite has been ports on fbsd.

slightly off topic - without broadband its such a pain in the ****. 
when i do make world type things i have to put my box into a
dial-on-demand type situation: dial-up, grab package, go offline,
compile, repeat until end.  its so irritating.  thought it would raise
a smile with you all.

how i suffer for my computing habits.  :-)
