Some of the longer standing  members will remember we used to meet at the Pub 
on the Pond.

It is actually walkable from the train station for anyone who is of normal 
fitness. I suppose not having a car I am used to such things. I shall be 
doing just this tomorrow as I can stop off at Tesco  and get some food.
I used to live in Brynmill which is nearer the centre of the city just on the 
other side of the university and Singleton Park.

I regularly walked to and from the station without a second thought when LUG 
meetings were in Cardiff. As to taxi fare I would estimate 3-4 quid.
