[SWLUG] Thanks! (was "Network backups")

Hi,

Just a quick 'thanks' to all that helped me out with my backup.

The server got rebuilt and restored without loss of a single byte
of data (that I know of...). All 120GB worth of files and permissions
are intact.

As a learning exercise, I tried all of the suggestions made, and
they all worked (with varying degrees of fiddling) and I learned
a lot in the process.

The only thing that remains is to get the Samba perms. sorted,
which should be sometime around 2012.
