Hi Keith

My main linux box, running Fedora 7, with a Kworld DVB-T 220 PCI card
fitted. The card has both analogue and digital, although I have not used
the analogue tuner on Fedora 7, it did work on FC6 but once I had got it
going I never used it again. The card uses the Philips SAA7134 chipset.

I use kaffeine as my PVR software, it just worked out the box under
Fedora 6 & 7. It allows me to pause and rewind live TV, and to record in
a non-DRMed m2t format. It will record any number of channels from the
same mux simultaneously. It can receive all of the available freeview
FTA channels.

The real killer feature of kaffeine is that it can stream video across
the network to another PC, also running kaffeine. I have so far watched
TV on my FC7 laptop when it connected wirelessly to my network, and
provided I tunnel it over SSH, I can see no reason why I cannot use it
as a freeware slingbox when I am stuck in a hotel on business and get
around the typical hotel TV channel selection. Why do hotels thing
everyone is only interested in business news?

HTH Phil
