Fun.

That's the moral equivalent of mount(2) on Windows. It's a filesystem
function rather than a VFS function, but the basics are the same.

What I suspect is happening here is that the MDC software is trying to
mount the TomTom either on a particular drive letter, or as a particular
directory, and WINE is choking on it because it can't do that. There seems
to be a large number of bug reports about it.
